I have insomnia and last night was one of those nights. So instead of laying in bed freaking out about not being able to sleep, I made a lunch bag.
My first attempt at this bag can be seen here. I'm much happier with this one though. :) The thing I like the most about making bags is that there is always something to learn or tweak to make it come together easier, faster, etc...
This bag is Chaney's lunch bag. It's small-ish, insulated and most importantly, it received her approval this morning.
I really, really like the drawstring top on the structured bag. There's one thing I'll do differently on the next few bags but overall I love how it turned out.
Next up: a medium sized bag for me and a large bag for Steve. And then a PDF pattern to make all three sizes!

This is great! I love everything about it. I can totally see my son's "girl" classmates (5th grade) loving and using this. I would, too!
Gorgeous. Your insomnia must be pretty bad if you made this in an evening.
Love this bag and can't wait to see the tutorial! Great job! So cute.
Gorgeous and practical too!
Cute. I still have not attempted more than a zipper pouch.
Lookin forward to the tutorial/pattern. I need a new lunch bag, I'm using a wine bag... Looks like I'm packing wine to go to work!

Oh yay! A pattern! This is a great bag!
So cute and useful too! I am so glad you are doing a PDF!
Cool! I have a lunch bag for me on my to do list, but as it's now winter, I think my lunch will be cold enough on my walk to work! Maybe next summer I'll get to it...
How fun - love the polka dots!
This is such a cute lunchbag. You should totally right a pattern for it!
Cool lunch bag! I like this one better than the first one too.
Thanks for sharing
