So EQ7 and I were fighting last night. We've actually been going round and round for several days as I've been trying to figure out how to take this quilt design from real life to a pattern. Now, I should also say that I'm not very tech-savvy so it's definitely not an issue with EQ7. And as a matter of fact, my non-quilting husband had it figured out within a few minutes which tells me that the program is pretty user friendly. ;)
So Steve stepped in and got me on the right track even though it seemed completely backwards to him for me to make an entire quilt top and then design the block and pattern on the computer.
Left brain, meet right brain...
And shorty after he came to the rescue, I was coloring in my quilt and playing with importing fabrics {which I've still got some work to do on...}.
Just another reason why I love this guy...

How nice to have a hubs who knows about computer stuff. Looking forward to seeing your new pattern. It's a great design!
You are almost there! Yes!
I think our husbands could be twins! Same haircut, same shirt, same way of sitting at the computer with a wtf has she done now look!
I've been doing all my design work in photoshop and realize I have to upgrade to EQ. It's just too hard adding seam allowances in photoshop.
sounds like he is a keeper. :)
You were obviously meant to be lol He'll be designing patterns in no time... ;o)
Does he hire himself out? I have EQ but haven't really done anything about it...
My husband is a big help to me in this department too. Gotta love them.
I love EQ7 - almost can't quilt without it :) What I like most is the ability to color with actual fabrics I have or am contemplating purchasing.
looking good!
; )
Can I borrow him?? EQ7 and I also go round and round and round...and my hubs is not any more tech savy than I am LOL

I'm a huge fan of all the lines that A Joyful Soul Fabrics has but my favorite right now would be Fresh Cut by Heather Bailey.
