Wednesday Words {lest you think}

that my sewing studio...

...always looks...

...like this.

It does not.

Steve is flying today so I figured it was a good day to post these pictures. :)  He won't see the post until tonight and then by that point, there will be comments telling me that your rooms look the same way sometimes.  Right??

No more projects for me until I get re-organized.  It's driving me nuts!  This is a stressful and super busy week so it's probably a good thing that I am just able to clean and organize.  My sewing mishaps always seem to occur when I'm stressed out... ;)

PS... for those who commented, emailed, and called me about last Wednesday's post, thank you.  Your encouragement meant so much to me and was actually why I took the post down.  I don't like negativity and having such positive friends around me reminded me that I am always better off directing my energy towards creating.  There will always be meanies out there and I can't help that.  What I can help though, is to be the bigger person, move on, and focus on trying to make something awesome.

After cleaning my room.

If your room always looked like the first three pics it would mean you are not using it LOL!!! I have to keep things organized before and after a project...but, during the process I do make a mess ;o)

Yup my room looks like that pretty much all the time!! Problem is my sewing room is in my bedroom!! :) :) I agree though, if it isn't messy, it isn't being used, so keep creating!!

I wish my room looked like the first pictures. It does not.

My sewing room is a mess too. Thanks for always keeping it real.

In the interest of reality, I can honestly say my room has never looked as good as the first 3 pictures, and, quite frankly, rarely looks as good as the last one. LOL. Feel better?

Oh Sweet Girl - you can still see the floor so you're good. :)

You would feel proud of your little mess if i showed you what my sewing room looks like! I MUST learn to clean up at least after each project. Problem is I work on several things at once... so that ends up being a huge mess.

I wondered why you took down that post... but am happy you are feeling supported here! xo

Your mess photo is my clean photo! I've been lazy about keeping things tidy. Now it's gonna take a long time to sort all out.
Sorry 'bout the meanies, some folks need to find something better to do, eh?

Mine is worse. And I usually try and organize it once a week. But then, once I clean it, I can't remember where I put anything and it ends up a wreck again in the process of finding. I SHOULD just leave everything out so I know where it is!

Your sewing area is so much clearner than mine. We call it the danger zone. Luckly my blind dog is afraid to go back there. The only thing is that a friendhsip pyrex cinderell bowl on the floor???? I love Pyrex and use it to hold my sewing stuff.

Your mess is pretty tidy but it could be that there's a lot of space and therefore harder to mess... But I try to be really tidy so I completely understand how a little bit can feel like a swirling vortex of chaos. :-)

Now, I'm off to check out your mini bolts... Love them.

Mess is part of creativity (and kids!) LOL

I'm really quite messy but always striving to not be. I've got things better organized lately but it still gets out of hand, especially when I can't find something ~ drives me crazy.
Your mess is quite tidy I have to say!

I believe you are keeping it real to us! But I can relate, have to clean up now and then to continue to work! I make a mess but have to reorganize every now and then too! Sorry for the not so nice comments.

I appreciate your reality photos too. As much as I love to read those magazines about studios, I always find it hard to believe anyone can be creative in such clean spaces! The fun part is that when you do get to clean/organize sometimes you find something you forgot you had and inspiration for new projects. Thanks for sharing.

If you can't sound off to your fellow bloggers for that boost who else is there. Glad to hear you were able to move on but sometimes you just have to get things off your chest. ;o)
My sewing tends to look messy all the time. Just can't seem to find places for everything. mmm maybe I have to much crap. lol Have a great weekend!
