Sew Cal Gal is having a Pets on Quilts show! Isn't that the greatest idea??
Gus is our quilt dog. It's not unusual for him to bury himself under a quilt on the couch. And then my favorite part is when he gets up and walks around the house with a quilt draped over his back. I swear that sometimes he's part human!

We have had Gus for a few years now. We adopted him from a shelter with only a few days left on his "time" there. When I picked him up the shelter employee told me then that he loved blankets and she was right. He has to be put to bed each night in his crate with a blanket. He is the perfect compliment to Buddy, our other Beagle and I can't imagine our family without him {or Buddy}. Dogs are just the best... so sweet and always ready to love you unconditionally.

I'm so glad you found him in time, he looks wonderful. No one wants to be sick, but I think I would feel better faster if I had someone like him to cuddle me back to health. Thank you.
so glad you rescued him in time. Pound puppies are the best friends and yes they are excellent nurses too.
Just love beagles - such a wonderful family dog. A dog who needs a quilt is truly a 'medicine pet', I'm sure he is a great comfort.

Gus certainly loves your quilts. One of our mini doxies likes to be covered no matter how warm it is and quite often I find where a quilt has "traveled" to another room on his back. One day I found one half way out the doggie door - lol! Thanks for sharing :)

i have a quilt cat. anytime i lay one out to work on it, she thinks she has to sit on it, lay on it, roll on it. funny!

We have a beagle too, that sleeps under blankets. If there's a blanket on the ground, you can bet hooch has been sleeping on it. That goes for laundry too.
A cute guy, your Gus. And how lovely to have him join a sick person ;-)) Our cats also love to sleep under blankets, preferably with one of us under that blanket, too ;-))

Gus is adorable. Our cat does the same thing when she knows someone is not feeling well or is sad.
