Have a Stitchin' Weekend #1

Welcome to the first project show off of  Have a Stitchin' Weekend!  I hope ya'll had a wonderful weekend!

Mine... well, it was interesting.  If you follow me on Facebook you probably already know about my lump-on-the-neck-drama.  The short version is that I ended up at the Dr. on Saturday afternoon.  I was running fever and it turns out that I had a spider bite {most likely} that turned into a staph infection.  Yay.  I felt like crud all weekend and I'm feeling even worse today which kind of scares me.  I'm on some heavy duty antibiotics but they don't seem to be working.  I'm going back to the Dr. today at Steve's insistence.  He takes such good care of me...

So what was looking to be a productive weekend turned into learning to knit 21st century-style on the couch.  Sigh.

I only have the one picture to show for myself unless you want to see a picture of my spider bite.  No?  I don't blame you... so it would make me really happy to see your weekend projects!

They don't have to be finished and they don't have to be perfect... just the project{s} you worked on this past weekend!  So link up at the bottom of this post and be sure to comment on at least a few of the other projects so that no one feels left out.

In your post please link back here OR just grab my button and let it hang out on your sidebar. :)

I hope ya'll had a Stitchin' Weekend!

OH... I almost forgot!  The winner of my Swell giveaway is Dawn S. who said: Please enter my name in the give away! a girl can NEVER have enough fabric!  Dawn, I completely agree!

Yuck! Sorry to hear you are feeling bad, but very excited about your stitchin weekend project! A great idea.

Yikes, my bff had something similar but on her face. She swore it was shingles, the first dr she went to said it was an infected blemish. She went to another dr when the first antibiotic didn't help, and that dr told her it was a different type of infection. So they may have given you the wrong antibiotic, I'd go back. :)
I love your idea for a link party. I just don't have anything finished from this weekend to show!

Yikes! I hate spiders. I can handle almost anything, but I can't even look at a spider. If there's one around, my 5 year old kills it for me. He's such a little man. Anyway, please take care and get better soon. I didn't get any stitchin' done this weekend either. I'm really having withdrawals!

I just can't master doing links so I'll have to pass on the project. I do want to thank you for you tutorial on doing the "tabs" on a blog. This week I also learned some new tips on pictures so my pictures are better this week. Hope you are feeling 100% better this week. Stop by and see my blog.
Hugs, Jeane

I had a similar staph infection once on my right ankle - keep after it! It can get pretty painful if you don't kill it off. :P

Linda

PS I had to work all weekend, so no projects.

Yikes! Your health has really taken a beating this year. Feel better - am glad Steve made you go back to the doctor's.

I am 90% finished two (for G and a friend) artist's smocks. Just awaiting elastic then the little ones can paint to their hearts' delight. No posts yet. Stay tuned! :)

You poor thing! I hope you feel better soon. I got a neck spider bite, drove me crazy and I got to walk around looking like I had a hicky on my neck while it healed. On the plus side it isn't a brown recluse bite! My dh got bit on the leg by one right before we met, had a huge hole in his leg and still to this day has a scar.
heal quickly!

I, too, hope that bite is feeling better! By the way, I can't seem to delete #10, my first posting that went to a typepad link. Ugh! Still learning.... sorry about the duplicate thumbnail.
