I was down with a stomach bug yesterday but fortunately it was just the 24 hour variety. So while I was feeling sorry for myself and my stomach look what appeared in my mailbox!
I instantly felt better. I wonder if Steve would believe that 9 out of 10 doctors recommend new fabric for sickness??
Metro Living yardage from Marmalade Fabrics
I bought the White Rings on Pewter a few weeks ago and loved them so much that I went back for more. I'm also loving the two colors I'm missing plus Tammy has Essex Linen now. I am seeing another order in my near future. *cough cough sneeze* I think I need some more fabric!
I have been making a concerted effort to add more use-able fabrics to my stash. I am drawn to the gorgeous larger scale prints but sometimes those aren't the most practical for making a quilt out of. So once I organized my stash it became very clear what I was lacking. The basics... the polka dots, smaller scale prints, solids, stripes, etc... all the fabrics you need to pair with the beautiful large scale prints.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! I will be working on a tutorial to show ya'll how I made my zig zag quilt in between other projects and a busy weekend...

i can't wait for those metro living bolts to arrive i my shop. there are certain lines that i cut fq's of for myself, and that is one of them. it's perfect for basic additions to quilts. very colorful and graphic!
have a great weekend!
I love that Metro Living and ordered a lot of the colors too. Good to know it cures what ails you!
Love the fabric. I'm really circles and dots right now!
What is it about dots? I am always drawn to them for some reason. Those are two of my favorite colors right now. Grey and turquoise. That new line is great.
lol! I think we should definitely submit an article about the benefits of new fabric to show our hubby's some proof! I really like these dots and am so glad you showed us (I have not seen these before)!
Fabric cures most anything. Seriously.
Glad you're feeling better!
lol that is awesome. I was sick with a stomach bug yesterday, too and also got a delivery of beautiful fabrics that totally made my day! :)
I just got 4 yards of metro living, too! I LOVE those circles and I am on a mission to do the same thing with my stash - more usable prints, plus more grey!
I'm sorry you were sick, but happy it was short-lived. I really love Metro Living and will have to get some one of these days. I'm trying to cut back on fabric buying, but these are the kind of fabrics that are so great to have in a stash!
Ah yes, fabric always makes me feel better too! Love your new additions to your stash, which will go with so many things. Definitely great choices for extending what you have.
Your fabric is so pretty. I had a stomach bug in January 2 days after I was in the hospital for a procedure to make sure I am ok (I am). Now I can only dream about fabric while I wait for all my hospital bills to pile up.
It's hard cause the usable fabrics really do get used and then they're gone. I hear ya.
Agree fabric is the cure for all the ails you!
I got some Kona Cotton from Tammy recently and plan to start a wonky log cabin very soon.
