I'm entering four blocks...
Propeller block {traditional}
Steve is in aviation so our family seems to enjoy all things aviation. When I ran across the propeller block in a vintage quilt, I knew I wanted to make a quilt using this block. It also has a cross in the middle and as ya'll probably know, I love quilts with cross patterns in them. :)
String-X {modern}
My string block is a bee block in my do. Good Stitches bee and I really enjoyed making it. I love string blocks of all kinds and the colors in this one were so fun to work with.
Churn Dash
This is probably my favorite traditional block. I love the simplicity and the contrast you can create.
Half Square Triangles

I really like that propeller block--I don't think I've seen it before. And the strings are great as well, especially against that royal blue!
Lovely blocks!! I hope you don't have too much shoveling to do. We are dying for some snow and winter here. I think we're just about out of time because the daffodils are coming up!

Both are great! I especially like the modern block. I started sewing my quilt like your "You and Me" today and entered a block. Mine looks way more traditional than your quilt - I like yours better! Oh well.... :) I threw a scrappy flower in the middle to pep it up a bit.
