A Christmas Parade!

I love a good Christmas tree.  Don't you?   Themed trees are awesome and creative but I really enjoy the "homemade" trees the most; the ones that are a collection of ornaments... handmade ornaments... kid-crafted ornaments... special ornaments... vintage ornaments... they all tell a story.

We have a homemade tree but I still enjoy adding a creative touch with a tree topper...

Handmade angels sing on our stairs...

I look forward every year to seeing what Chaney is going to want to leave out for Santa.  One year it was carrots, another year it was a peanut butter & jelly sandwich, and then on rare occasion she follows tradition with cookies & milk.

And then there's the chic Charlie Brown tree with disco ball ornaments... Chaney definitely has the creative gene. :)

What is your favorite tradition?  I'd love to hear about it and I would be thrilled to see your tree!  So don't be shy... link up and share!

Your home is beautiful! I love looking at all your decor!

My tree has been on my blog, so I'm sure you've seen it. =) One tradition we have is to read the Christmas story before opening any gifts. =)

Merry Christmas!

I am not really in the holiday spirit this year after receiving an upsetting health report. I do want to thank you for being the only "follower" of my blog. I continue to enjoy reading yours; you inspire me to continue creating new quilting projects. Happy Holidays to you and your family!

My husband reads The Three Trees on Christmas Even and we all cry (ok, mom and dad cry while the kids look on).

One Christmas When I was 4 or 5 my uncle drove me on a very dark and deserted road in the country near my house (no light pollution) and found a blinking tower light and told me it was Rudolph and we had to go home and get me in bed STAT b/c he was close to my house. I bought it hook line and sinker. I tried that with my nephews when they were 3 and they said "that's a TOWER. " Kids these days are too smart!

My kids are a little old to believe in Santa (well, not Miss M, she's only 7, but the boys are 10 and 9!!), but they do, so we watch the Norad Santa Tracker every year online. Once Santa gets to Brazil, they start freaking out that they need to go to bed because he's almost here, LOLOL!!! It's so funny.
