On The Road To Spring
I made this quilt this past spring in my first quilt along. After a long stretch of making quilts for others, this is the first quilt I made just for me and I love it. I use it almost every evening when I curl up on the couch after a long day. It measures 50 x 60, the perfect size for me {I'm short!}, and it has some of my very favorite Hope Valley fabrics by Denyse Schmidt. I machine pieced and quilted it and this is the quilt that I figured out how to relax and really began to love free motion quilting...
It was tough to choose a favorite but I have entered this quilt in the Blogger's Quilt Festival. I hope you will take a look at all the other entries that make the online quilting community something really special!

That quilt is so pretty - I just love Denyse Schmidt's Hope Valley - my Mum is winging her way to NY at the moment and may take time to stop in purlsoho and pick me some up. Fingers crossed!
Beautiful.
I love your quilt. I made myself one from the Hope Valley fabrics too! It's the first I made just for me and it's my favorite couch snuggling quilt. Maybe it's something about that fabric ......
What a great quilt to wrap up in.
Thanks for sharing.

Gorgeous. It looks so comfy. I just bought two bundles of Hope Valley.
Glad you made a quilt for you! Love the Hope Valley fabric. What a great treat for yourself. Congrats on enjoying the machine quilting - I'm not quite there yet!
What a great quilt! I'm glad you were able to get comfortable with free motion quilting. I hope to be there too one day!
This is a beautiful quilt (I still have to finish mine from the quiltalong...getting closer though!). I associate this quilt with you because it pops up in different places (flickr, facebook, etc.) Love it!
I'm getting ready do make a quilt with a similar pattern....so simple, so ealy, and you can't go wrong.
Thanks for a different variation of the pattern!
You have done such a nice job on this lovely quilt.
That is a beauitful quilt, have a wonderful weekend.
Lots of pretty colors. Love the simplicity of the design.
That's a beautiful quilt but the part I love the most is picturing it being used every night, and you loving every fabric and every stage of the making !
Praise the LORD for making me a quilter and letting me find this community of like-minded souls !
Enjoy that quilt for a long, long time !
I love this pattern and this quilt! Nice use of Hope Valley :)
Lovely quilt. So nice to wrap yourself up in Denyse's pretty design. I haven't had the courage to start using my Hope Valley fabric yet...
This is an awesome quilt! Love Hope Valley. I need to make that quiltalong pattern.
The simplicity of design lends itself to highlighting the beauty of the fabric. Great work. Lynne
Very pretty quilt! Love the design and colors. Wonderful job!
very nice
This quilt is awesome!! I may just shamelessly copy it because I love it so much! Perfect use for Hope Valley. Love, love.
Very pretty - and it will always be special because of what you learned during the quilting, and because it's just for YOU!
Your quilt is very pretty!!
This is one of the best uses of Hope Valley fabrics I have seen! I love the white bricks in between, with really soften this quilt and make the print fabrics shine. Great job quilting it too. So happy you get to keep this one for YOU!
Such a lovely quilt. How good was Randi's pattern. I finished my quilt top and it is waiting to go to my local long armer for quilting. it is way too big to attempt to quilt at home. Glad you are enjoying your wonderful quilt.
What a gorgeous quilt! You chose such beautiful fabric for it!
The colors are so pleasing to the eye and I love the quilts with just a rectangle.
I love the quilt and that you made it for yourself. I want to do that someday :)

Ii just spent the last little bit browsing through pages and pages of your photo stream on flickr, and I am SOOO inspired by your quilts! I already have several as favorites and am wanting to dive right in and start some more :)

I love this line and how the simple modern design captures it.
This is such a great looking quilt! Nothing beats curling up with a quilt at the end of the day!
This is beautiful use of that line of fabric. I've been hoarding mine but after seeing this I think I had better get to using it!
I've never seen anything made from Hope Valley that I didn't like... but this is extra cute.
Love the quilt! Beautiful fabric.
I love the colours of your quilt.
The best kind of quilt--a snugglin' kind.
I really love this quilt. Great job.
I knew I recognized your name! Hello again! I also did the Road to Spring QAL. Your quilt turned out fantastic!
So pretty. I love those quilts you can curl up in all the time. I love the Hope Valley line too. It makes quilts look timeless.
Beautiful! Love, love, love! The colors and pattern do look so inviting and cuddly. My entry is also a Hope Valley quilt :) But I'm still terrified to try free motion quilting.
