Bloggers Quilt Festival!

On The Road To Spring

I made this quilt this past spring in my first quilt along.  After a long stretch of making quilts for others, this is the first quilt I made just for me and I love it.  I use it almost every evening when I curl up on the couch after a long day.  It measures 50 x 60, the perfect size for me {I'm short!}, and it has some of my very favorite Hope Valley fabrics by Denyse Schmidt.  I machine pieced and quilted it and this is the quilt that I figured out how to relax and really began to love free motion quilting...

It was tough to choose a favorite but I have entered this quilt in the Blogger's Quilt Festival.  I hope you will take a look at all the other entries that make the online quilting community something really special!

That quilt is so pretty - I just love Denyse Schmidt's Hope Valley - my Mum is winging her way to NY at the moment and may take time to stop in purlsoho and pick me some up. Fingers crossed!

I love your quilt. I made myself one from the Hope Valley fabrics too! It's the first I made just for me and it's my favorite couch snuggling quilt. Maybe it's something about that fabric ......

That's a beautiful quilt but the part I love the most is picturing it being used every night, and you loving every fabric and every stage of the making !

This is one of the best uses of Hope Valley fabrics I have seen! I love the white bricks in between, with really soften this quilt and make the print fabrics shine. Great job quilting it too. So happy you get to keep this one for YOU!

Such a lovely quilt. How good was Randi's pattern. I finished my quilt top and it is waiting to go to my local long armer for quilting. it is way too big to attempt to quilt at home. Glad you are enjoying your wonderful quilt.
